If we were to make a prediction about what all the "cool kids" (marketers, products and booths) will be wearing at the NBAA Conference this year, it will be that everyone will be using QR Codes! We expect to see them in all shapes and sizes and on all types of marketing materials.
This story, Marrs says, is a perfect illustration of what's wrong with most businesses, and why they're always under pressure to find the next client, bend over backwards to accept clients or customers that may not be a good fit, or they are forced to reduce prices to keep a customer. They don't have enough "hooks out there!"
I've had several versions of this same conversation with people when they ask about marketing. "The problem is that when business is good, I have no need for marketing. Yesterday, several trucks pulled up to the Vineland Veterans Home after they visited it a few months ago and replaced ALL of the interior furniture, outside porch furniture, and replaced the home with all of the things that they would NEVER have. In a few weeks they will TOTALLY replace all of the glasses, flatware, plates and pots and pans. It is like an interior EXTREME MAKEOVER, INJURED AND HOMELESS/SICK VETS ADDITION.
Had an opportunity to fly with IFR CFI Brian Hough at at Horizon Flight Center, Chesapeake Regional Airport. It's pretty amazing to break out of the clouds and be exactly where the instruments say you're supposed to be. I know that's the way it's supposed to work, but it's still pretty amazing the first time you see it.
