Episode 5 – New Ideas, Outrageous Marketing, and Improving the Industry

chase New Ideas, Outrageous Marketing, and Improving the Industry An Interview with Chase LarabeeChase Larabee is a 22-year-old entrepreneur that started AllFBO and is working on the premier of PilotAway.  Chase comes from an Information Technology background and brings new ideas and ways of doing things to an industry that is supportive and friendly but not always the quickest to embrace novelty.

Topics we cover in this conversation:

  • Many people don’t realize that their companies are listed on many social media sites whether they realize it or not.
  • Joint ventures as a fast and powerful way to jump start a new business idea.
  • How nontraditional advertising is sometimes the best way to get the most effective attention at the lowest cost.
  • Twitter as a powerful tool rather than a frivolous waste of time – it’s all about the purpose & planning.

Chase Larabee is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Seattle-based PilotAway.com.  He first created ALLFBO in April of 2010, and has since led many business partnerships, product distribution, and brand strategy efforts for PilotAway for the last 4 months.

With a passion for aviation, ALLFBO was created with the goal of simplifying FBO reservations through the web or over the phone. Chase believes that large or small, every FBO should have access to the most modern technology the industry has to offer.

Prior to creating ALLFBO and PilotAway, Chase studied Business Entrepreneurship while working at a local FBO. Since his father is a  corporate pilot, Chase saw the constant disconnect between the entrepreneurship and aviation; and has made it his primary goal to find a cost-effective solution to inefficient and disconnected scheduling and related systems. . Since then, the idea has gone from the drawing board to a thriving privately held company that is expanding its reach nationwide.
